Classic Mini and New MINI all over .. just at the International MINI Meeting (IMM) in Mugello this past Weekend. They say that there were about 2200 Mini and MINI.

Mille Miglia 2013: Bugatti, Pagani, Ferrari

Accidentally but fortunately I bumped into the Mille Miglia on Saturday after the IMM, what a damn joy it was!

Here some first Pictures while writing you from the other side of Italy, the nice Adria. Enjoy the Bugatti Veyron (does anybody know the exact edition name of this one?), Pagani Zonda and Huayra and a Ferrari F12.

After a sun-rain-snow-rain first Day the second didn't start better: Rain, of course! When we arrived at Lake Garda, after 150 km driving, the rain finally stopped and after our Lunch-Break, when it was my turn again to drive, even the sun came out and Nicole and I opened our MINI Knightsbridge Roof!

A more detailed Review of the Car will follow the next Days, but what I really liked while driving our little MINI - everyone is SO friendly and positive about the Car!
After Lake Garda we switched from small roads to the Autostrada and soo many Truck Drivers gave us signals while driving by (It wasn't because of weird driving, definitely not!) or so so many heads turned around when they overtook us as we were driving chilly with 100 - 130 km/h on the right lane. Normally I'm one of those People always driving on the left lane, if I have a suitable Car, but this time I haven't even missed driving fast, overtaking anyone, making time good etc. The almost 8 hours of driving passed by so quickly that I haven't even time to complaint about anything. We had cassettes (!) with cool Music, sang and danced to them while listening songs like "Move on up" by Curtis Mayfield .. LOUD.

Sometimes I was really sad for the Car because of bumps on the Street. But Knightsbridge was always loyal!

Roadtrip to IMM (International Mini Meeting) Day 1

Today the second Day of our Roadtrip to the IMM (International MINI Meeting) starts, just about 400 km to Mugello!

Here some Pictures taken yesterday, during our first Day, while driving from Munich to South Tyrol. From Sun (of course we had the rood open), to rain and finally to snow at the Jaufenpass. Well, what else in May, in Italy..

Right as you are reading this I might be still stuck in any delayed train or already run though Munich's Central Station to catch a Metro to the BMW Welt.

What I'm going to do there? Picking up a Car! But not just any BMW, no, a MINI, a Classic MINI! *Excitement at 100%* I still can't belive it, but among some other Blogger/Journalists we are ROADTRIPPIN' to the International Mini Meeting in Mugello, Tuscany. With classic MINI's. Even though I'm a bit "scared" as it's my first trip with a Classic Car I'm of course looking forward to it - a Mr.Bean-Style-Roadtrip! ;-)

ACTIVE BODY CONTROL (ABC)

Subfunction of the suspension system MAGIC BODY CONTROL. The Mercedes-Benz ABC suspension has four suspension struts with hydraulic cylinders to set the force individually in each suspension strut, thus all but completely eliminating the lifting, rolling and pitching motion of the vehicle body. Various acceleration sensors send information about the current driving situation to the control unit which, in turn, compares this information with the data received from the pressure sensors in the suspension struts and the level sensors on the axle links. Based on the results of this comparison, the system calculates control signals which are then converted into precisely measured oil flows by servohydraulic values at the front and rear axle.
