Hey Guys

Only limited to 88 units, Rimac Automobili unveilled the, at the moment, world's first electric supercar, the Concept_One.

A curb weight of 1650 kg, 1088 HP and a torque of 3800Nm - a combination a few other automakers dream off. 0-100 km/h / 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 305 km/h / 190 mph. And all this is powered by a 92kWh Battery with a "up to 600 km / 372 miles range"

The so called "All Wheel Torque Vectoring" is a unique powertrain, developed by the croatian Rimac Automobili Company. Each wheel has an own system with a water-cooled electric motors and inverter, working completely independent from the other wheels.

Mate Rimac, the CEO of Rimac Automobili says: “I believe that the electric motor is a much better machine compared to the ICE, in almost all aspects, especially for a sports car.“

Also special for the Concept_One as a Supercar it has a high-tech infotament with a head-up display and in total there are 6 displays inside. Also there are 7 cameras installed, to generate a great surround view.

Completely every part was made in Croatia, Rimac Automobiles home. Expect the seatbelts, airbags and other security stuff everything was produced by themselves. The interior is designed by a team of former Pininfarina employees, led by Mr. Goran Popović.

Some of you definitely remember the 900 HP electric BMW, now called "Rimac Automobili e-M3". Or the start for a new class of hyper cars. The e-M3 was a test car for new battery technologies, battery management, propulsion systems and latest in-house developments.

As mentioned before there will be only 88 units of this new carbon-fibre supercar produced. Everything will be handmade and assembled and by order only. The delivery of the first Concept_One are sheduled for 2013.

ACTIVE BODY CONTROL (ABC)Subfunction of the suspension system MAGIC BODY CONTROL. The Mercedes-Benz ABC suspension has four suspension struts with hydraulic cylinders to set the force individually in each suspension strut, thus all but completely eliminating the lifting, rolling and pitching motion of the vehicle body. Various acceleration sensors send information about the current driving situation to the control unit which, in turn, compares this information with the data received from the pressure sensors in the suspension struts and the level sensors on the axle links. Based on the results of this comparison, the system calculates control signals which are then converted into precisely measured oil flows by servohydraulic values at the front and rear axle.
