What better way to demonstrate Lotus’ superior ride and handling than by re-entering the adrenaline filled Rally Championships? Let's think back - summer, blue sky, open roads. The perfect car for this scenario? Right, a convertible with that certain something. Uuuh, let's see what we have here: a Car that's pronounced like the french word for "sky" - Ciel - remember the blue sky, open roads and wind blowing through your hair ...
Sometimes the "Tuning parts" of a car/vehicle worh more than the car itself. Okay, we know this scenario already. But what if the addings cost about 2,130 times more than the car?
This happend last Monday at the unveiling of a new Tata Nano (Yep, the worlds cheapest car) in Mumbai. This model is made out of 80 kg 22 carat solid gold , 15kg silver and 10,000 precious stones, like diamonds and rubies, and other expensive gemstones - it worths unbelivable Rs 22 crore. This Goldplus Tata Nano celebrates the 5,000 year anniversary of the jewellery making industry in India. And, of course it is not the world's first ever gold jewellery car, and propably the only with this worth.
"As many as 14 techniques of jewellery making have gone behind the effort -- from the intricate filigree work to the delicate and colourful meenakari work, the stunning kundan to the traditional naqashi...marking the convergence of diverse and culturally distinct jewellery making techniques from around India," TATA says.
This worthy customized car will now travel to every of the 29 locations of the Goldplus Showrooms, in India only. So book your flight, if you want to see the Car in real ;-)
Now a nice Video I found on YouTube

The ё-concept is "russias new symbol" (as they wrote on their billboards at the Frankfurt Motor Show). But what's behind the "yo-auto" pronounced vehicle?
While the first press day of the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 13th I had the unbelivable chance to test drive the smart electric drive while the 2012 model, a world premiere, was presented.
At the 64th International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt (September 15 to 25), Volkswagen is presenting – alongside the new up! that is the show highlight – a tremendous assortment of new car concepts and models. Making world debuts are the Beetle R Concept, Beetle Fender, Polo R-Line, Tiguan R-Line, Golf Cabriolet Exclusive and the Phaeton Exclusive Concept. And that is just the beginning: another car making its world debut on the Frankfurt stage is the single-seat electric vehicle concept car NILS – a car for the world of tomorrow. Meanwhile, the Polo R WRC illustrates how motorsport cars are progressing at Volkswagen.

Today we are accustomed to in Formula 1 tracks anonymous and so similar to each other, that once the Circus circuit returns to the old emotions resurface and soak in a flash of Sundays races.
It 'happened two weeks ago at Spa Francorshamps, it happened again today in Monza.
In Belgium and spoke Brianza tracks: the pilots asked, they answered, in a harmonious dialogue and intense, never dull, always at the edge.
Spectacular tracks where the legend lives on in every corner, where even the youngest riders draw out the grit and the talent that almost anywhere else atrophies.
The thrill and adrenaline of the Eau Rouge Parabolic Formula 1 have shown how this tank needs to go backwards in many respects, and the pilots have largely confirmed this view.
Once, while a press conference held by General Motors, on June 28, 1966, the name of the project XP-836 was unveiled - Camaro. The Oress wanted to know what the name means, the Chevrolet product managers answered "it's a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs."
The first of now 5 generation of the pony car debuted in Detroit in 1966 and went officially on sale in September 1966 also. It was available as a 2-door, 2+2 seating and as a coupe or convertible version. The Camaro also shared its platform and the major components with the Pontiac Firebird.

Hey Guys
Last Sunday I've went to Switzerland and visited a very, very cool auto museum - the "autobau" in Romanshorn, at the Lake of Constance. The autobau opened in April 2009 and every first months Sunday there is the "Open Day" where everyone can come and visit it - on the other days it's only open for announced groups.
The Rico Rally 2012 - 60 Days, 50 Cars, 2000 Miles Driving
Rico Rally 2012
Rico Rally Europe 2012 is a 2,000 mile driving event where like minded petrolheads can drive their cars through some beautiful scenery on empty roads and enjoy great company. You can catch up with each other every evening in quality hotels to dine, drink and tell each other tall stories about your cars, your adventures that day and driving encounters in the past.
RICO RALLY IS NOT A RACE OR TIME TRIAL; it’s a car tour that visits amazing destinations via some equally amazing roads and scenery… if you fancy seeing some great parts of Europe, visiting the very best locations and driving some of the world’s best roads, all in the company of like-minded petrolheads, then Rico Rally is the annual event for you.
Since about 3 years I'm now a so called "Carspotter" and its really fun. But sometimes the fun ends when you see things like this: someone has stolen your pictures, putted an another Copyright above yours and he gets all the good comments for the well picture and the cool Car.
At the Fake-Carspotting site autopixx.de you find thousands of these STOLEN PICTURES and it's like no one does anything against it, cause no one yet said anything or neither did anything ... so, let's change that!
Last week, while there was just too much traffic around and I took another road to drive I've found this: a silver Ferrari 550 Maranello, in Combo with a green Bentley Mulsanne Turbo.
Some maybe think it's nothing so special to take photos of, but I disagree with it and it was also a nice scene "just after the rain" - hope you like the result.
