AUDI in Beijing 2012

Hey Guys
Every Motor Show around the World is same to all the others... not!
In China everything is trimmed on "L"arge Cars with a longer wheelbase than the in Europe available models. What was AUDI presenting at the China Autoshow in Beijing this year?
The Motor Show is open to the public till May 2nd!

In general .. Audi in China

Audi is by far the most successful premium car brand in China. In 2011, the brand with the four rings attained a market share of 33 percent in its segment with 313,036 cars sold (including Hong Kong) – a figure that includes 57,888 import vehicles. The company boosted its sales by over 37 percent compared to the prior year. Audi wants to continue this growth into the future – with new models, new technologies, extensive brand investments and a second production site in Foshan in southern China.

AUDI A6 L e-tron concept

The A6 L e-tron concept is an important step towards future electric mobility in China for Audi – a technology study with a plug-in hybrid and a powerful drive system that enables a driving range of 80 km (49.71 miles) on pure electric power, and it was specifically designed to fulfill Chinese needs.

AUDI Q3 jinlong yufeng

2012 is the Chinese year of the dragon. Jinlong yufeng means “Golden Dragon in the Wind.” In this way, jinlong yufeng fits in with the character of the themed vehicle. Mounted to the roof of the Audi Q3 jinlong yufeng are two kiteboards made of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP). The designers developed a flat outdoor pouch as a special cargo floor liner. It not only provides protection against dirt, but can also be used to stow wet beach articles or can even be used as a sun umbrella or a seat cover.

AUDI Rs Q3 concept

The blue painted Audi RS Q3 concept is a vehicle based on the theme of thrilling dynamic performance. Its engine, a 2.5 TFSI with 265 kW (360 hp) of power, and its body – lowered about 25 mm (0.98 inches) and widened with sharp visual details – explore the potential of the Q3 model series in a new way.
The extremely powerful 2.5 TFSI in the RS Q3 concept combines two classic Audi technologies – gasoline direct injection and turbocharging. From 2,480 cc of engine displacement, it generates 265 kW (360 hp) of power. The car catapults itself from zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 5.2 seconds, and its propulsive force takes it to a top speed of 265 km/h (164.66 mph).

ACTIVE BODY CONTROL (ABC)Subfunction of the suspension system MAGIC BODY CONTROL. The Mercedes-Benz ABC suspension has four suspension struts with hydraulic cylinders to set the force individually in each suspension strut, thus all but completely eliminating the lifting, rolling and pitching motion of the vehicle body. Various acceleration sensors send information about the current driving situation to the control unit which, in turn, compares this information with the data received from the pressure sensors in the suspension struts and the level sensors on the axle links. Based on the results of this comparison, the system calculates control signals which are then converted into precisely measured oil flows by servohydraulic values at the front and rear axle.
